Insect pollinators play a major role in maintaining the integrity of natural ecosystems and are also valuable contributors to crop production. The Hawai'i Pollinator Resource Center was created to provide farmers and beginning beekeepers with practical information about local insect pollinators and to introduce simple steps that can be taken to enhance garden and farm habitats for pollinators.

The site incorporates locally based information on beekeeping, crop pollinator requirements, pollinator friendly techniques for improved crop production, and pollinator conservation recommendations. In addition, general information from national and international sites is included to help provide a more comprehensive perspective on agricultural techniques and global pollinator issues.

The site will continue to grow as we add new material regularly. We also encourage you to submit questions or suggestions about topics of interest directly to

Thanks for your interest in pollinators.
